Final Thoughts!

I love this gospel! I am so grateful for the honor and privilege it was to labor in the vineyard of the Lord. I know Christ lives, and I know that God is real. I know that we are all children of heavenly parents who love us perfectly. To quote a story shared by President Monson, "The greatest decision I ever made in my life was to give up something I dearly loved to the God I loved even more." When times get tough, don't give up! The Master is in charge, and He will win. As we tie ourselves to Him and His work, we will never fail!

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Week 110: The Finale!

Hey Everyone, it looks like this is the last weekly of my mission. No more will you have to read through my boring summaries of my week. Hope you enjoy this last one!

Here's a quick run through of the week:
Monday we had our p day which is always lit. We did a district activity where we went and made ginger bread houses and played some spikeball as a district. When that was over we went over to the Spanish 2A elders' apartment and clowned around for a little bit until p day was over.
Tuesday we had interviews and our last district council of the transfer and my mission. It was horribly sad to say the very least. I am going to miss all of these losers. After interviews we had a couple lessons in the afternoon that went pretty well. We ended off the night by stopping by random people who were taught in the past and nothing much came of it. It's all good though, that's just how the ball rolls.
Wednesday was just another average day for us. We had a couple lessons and did quite a bit of knocking and calling to try and find some new people.
Thursday was pretty much a rinse and repeat of Wednesday.
Friday was pretty much a rinse and repeat of Thursday.
Saturday we had a pretty normal average day for the most part. To end off the day we had the ward Christmas party which was a hoot. We had our friend Bill come and he seemed to like it.
Sunday we had church like normal. We did a couple lessons with members throughout the afternoon so it was pretty awesome. We met with the Hubbards over zoom since they had covid so that was kinda sad, but it's all good.
Monday we had a ton of lessons planned so it was busy from the get go. We met with Brian and Diane and helped move some stuff for them. After that we went and talked to the Birches and to Venessa one last time. Sister Jenkins in the ward invited us out for ice cream that night to say goodbye and invited a bunch of ward members to come as well so it was super nice of her.
Tuesday was just jam packed with lessons. It was a lot of running around and saying goodbye to people one last time. I got to say hi to the Santillans and the Nelsons so it was awesome.
Wednesday was my last p day of the mission. We went on a morning run and I got to say hi to good friends. After that we did some contacting and set up some lessons for Elder Tolman and Bowen for the next week. We then went over to the stake center for volleyball and basketball with some other missionaries. To end off the night we went and had a last supper with the boys at O' Charleys. We spent about $150 worth of gift cards on 6 people so it was hype.
Thursday was the day of transfers. We got up in the morning and got everything loaded up in the car and went to Powell. We got there and I pretty much got to hang out until it was over. I got to see friends and other missionaries I've been around. It was hard to say goodbye to people that I've come to know and love so well. After that we had a departing dinner for all the missionaries where we did a testimony meeting. When we got back to the apartment we called it a night.
Friday was the fateful day of the flight home. We got up and at 'em at 5am and got to the airport at 6. Everything went smoothly and after a couple hours we made it to Utah. It was awesome seeing my family at the airport. After that we drove and got some food. After that we went to go see the stake president and I got released. It was horribly sad to take the tag off, but the feeling of accomplishment was incredible. I will not soon forget everything I've learned out here.

Miracle of the week:
We were able to have a major break through lesson with Gloria, who has been taught for 5 years now. Things are finally starting to click in her mind and we can see the spirit working on her. It is incredible to see the power of the scriptures work in people's lives.

Funny moment of the week:
I got to take a picture with the self proclaimed, South Pole Santa at the ward Christmas party. It was incredible.
