Hey everyone! Wowzers, is it just me or do these weeks go by quicker and quicker? Things have been chaotic and busy as usual for us so I can't complain. It's crazy to think that I have one week left and then I'm back into reality.
Here is a quick run through of this week:
Monday was p day so it was hype. We went over to Easton mall again and had a good time with the other elders in the district. Other than that it was an average day.
Tuesday was fetching wild. We had an average morning for the most part until we hit the early afternoon. We had 4 dinners given to us in a row. We only had one family that planned on giving us food. We just got to each lesson appointment and they gave us dinner. So you could say I was stuffed.
Wednesday we went on training visits with the Spanish 2C elders and I went with Elder Bowen again so it was lit. We had a good lesson with Gloria and we covered a lot of ground with recognizing God's hand in our lives. After that we had a couple lessons and went and grabbed some dinner.
Thursday we had a pretty average morning so nothing too crazy. In the afternoon we went over to the food pantry and did some service which was lit. After that we did a bunch of finding in some random apartment complex. No one was too interested, but we had a good time talking to people. We ended off the night with Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate Elder Bowen's birthday.
Friday we had a bunch of lessons scheduled, but none came to pass so it was sad. But we made the most of it and did a bunch of contacting to set up lessons. We did weekly planning which was brutal, but it do what it be.
Saturday was just chocked full of service so it was pretty exhausting. We moved furniture for some members in the ward and then went over to Brian and Diane's to go and put up some drywall. I can probably build a house from scratch when I get home so it's lit. After that we did a bunch of contacting reaching out to everyone we could.
Sunday we had church in the morning which was lit like always. After that we filmed a district video asking people questions about Christmas. After that was over we stopped by to see a member in the ward named Jake and talked to him for a while. After that we stopped by a couple referrals we got online, but no one was available so it was a rip. To end off the night we got together with some other elders to watch the Christmas message from the first Presidency.
Miracle of the week:
Gloria shared with us an experience where she heard a voice in her head directing her on what to do. It was awesome that she is having personal experiences after our discussions on how God is real!
Funny moment of the week:
We recreated the 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins picture. It was fun!
Love,
Elder Bohn
