Hey everyone! We just had transfers and it looks like I'm training up another new missionary here in Westerville. I'm sad to see Elder Smith get transferred so soon, but that's just how it is.
Here's a quick run through of the week:
Wednesday we had our p day and it was pretty busy and chaotic. We started off the morning with a run with so other missionaries. After that we ran around meeting with people to say goodbye to peeps. We did a church tour with a lady named Venessa to end off the night so it was lit.
Thursday was transfers and I got my new missionary. His name is Elder Tolman from American Fork, Utah. We had a couple lessons that afternoon after we got him all unpacked so it was lit.
Friday we had some service in the morning with some members raking leaves. After that he took us to a BBQ place and it was incredible. We had a couple lessons cancel on us so we knocked some doors and found a guy named Taleh and had a really good discussion with him answering a bunch of questions he had. After that we did some weekly planning and some contacting.
Saturday we had some lessons go through in the morning and then some cancel. In the middle of the day we had a zone meeting with the stake President here which went good. We got to see a bunch of other missionaries there so it was lit. After that we went and did some more service for the Harkes tearing down their ceiling. So yeah, it was lit.
Sunday we had ward council and church in the morning that went pretty good. After church we met with the Hubbards, and they are legends! After the Hubbards we did a bunch of contacting and door knocking before heading in for the night. It also started snowing on Sunday. That's wack. I'm not ready for snow. Oh well though.
Miracle of the week:
When we had our lessons cancel on Friday it sucked because when lessons cancel it's a scramble to find other things to do. It was freezing cold out and there was nothing better to do than knock and so we did. And eventually we found Taleh and it was incredible seeing the spirit work on him as we talked. It's amazing to see the efforts we make pay off!
Funny moment of the week:
There was one day as we were driving I was telling Elder Tolman of the crazy Ohio drivers and how they drive crazy. nd not even 2 seconds after telling him this literally the car in front of us flipped on his hazards and then veered off into the side of the road and parked all in about 2 seconds. We were both blown away, but what can you do, it's Ohio.
P.S. I got a Go Pro and have gone beast mode taking pictures. There were too many to label. Enjoy!
Love,
Elder Bohn
